Can I sell products on my website?

Absolutely! Our CMS can easily be configured into an e-commerce site. We make sure your website is secure so that your customers details stay safe.

We can help you choose the right hosting depending on how busy you think your store will be.

Will my website work on mobile devices?

The short answer is yes! We design our sites to be responsive to ensure they work on all devices; desktops, laptops, tablets and mobiles.

You may have different requirements and our websites are built to suit your needs.

Can Plump do everything for us?

We do a lot but not everything.

If there is anything we don't do, then we can usually introduce you to somebody in our network that can help.

Do you build mobile apps?

Not at this point in time. Our websites are made to be mobile responsive and even mobile specific. This means in some cases you might not need an app which can be an expensive task.

How do I update my website?

There are many different methods which can be used to update websites. If you choose to have a care and maintenance program with us, we take of it for you. If you prefer to DIY, the our CMS and the plugins we use are easily updated. We will show you how!

Do you write the content for my site?

Yes, we can! We have some talented and experienced copywriters working with us! We can help you get your message across in a way that people and search engines will love!

Do you outsource your work?

We build all our websites and do all our digital marketing right here in Fremantle, Western Australia. We have a very hands-on approach and by making it locally, we can make exactly how you want.

Some of our work, like copy writing and photography, is outsourced to other local businesses because we want to help our local economy. We also like to send work to and between our clients so that all our businesses prosper.

How Long Does It Take To Create A Website?

The time it takes to produce a website depends on the size and complexity of your site. A basic website typically takes around 2 weeks from beginning to end. Some custom and complex project may take longer.

We will provide you an estimate when we quote you and a detailed timeline on commencement of our project.

Will my website design be Search Engine friendly?

All our websites are created with search engines in mind. Understanding what customers search for is the first step in our website building process.

We recommend your website be re-evaluated over time as search engines alter their rules and algorithms occasionally.

To gain maximum visibility by the search engines, we highly recommend utilising our comprehensive SEO services.

Do I own my website?

Yes you do. Some clients require additional software on their websites that may have subscription costs with the developers of that software, but once you have purchased your website from us, it is your to keep!

Can you help me source photos for my website?

Of course we can! We have photographers and videographers who can to produce custom content for your website. We also use a variety of stock photo websites and can often source photos from them.

Can I See My Website While It's In Progress?

You sure can! In fact, we encourage it. We will build your website on our development server and you can monitor the progress!

We want you to be part of the process and need your feedback because if something isn't quite the way you envisioned, we can change it!

Once your site is ready and we have your approval, we make it live on your server.

Our business is very small with a limited budget, how can you help?

We can get you started with a brochure website so that your business can build its web presence.

We work with a variety of businesses of the small to medium variety.

What are your opening hours?

Officially we are open during the day Monday to Saturday. We are flexible though so if you need an evening appointment we can do that too.

We also have a 'night-walker' that works with us should you have allergies to the sun...

Where is your office?

Plump Design is a small and mobile business. Our team mostly work from their home offices which is why we prefer to come to you.

If you need to visit us, please make an appointment and then come see us in White Gum Valley which is next to Fremantle.

Why do you put a comma before your 'and'? I was taught grammar differently at school!

It's called the Serial Comma or Oxford Comma and is "used after the penultimate item in a list of three or more items, before ‘and’ or ‘or’ (e.g. an Italian painter, sculptor, and architect )".

At Plump Design feel this makes more sense grammatically than not having a comma in your list. It can also cost you a lot of money as one company discovered!

Who will I work with during the project?

You will have your very own experienced and knowledgeable account manager that will help you with everything you need.

What's with the name?

We are called Plump Design because when a piece of fruit is ready to be picked and eaten, it's big, plump and juicy.

When your website is ripe and ready to hit the bigtime, it will also be big, plump and juicy! Ready to give your customers what they need!

How Many Changes Can I Make To My Site Without Additional Cost?

When we are creating a website for you, we are very flexible and give as much leeway as we possibly can.

Once you have identified the general format and colour schemes for your preferred design, we will complete up to 2 rounds of major revisions at no extra charge. Minor revisions are provided at no charge.

Will it cost me to make changes after our website is launched?

For one time changes, we will provide you with an estimate before beginning the work and charge at our standard hourly rate.

If you think you will need regular maintenance, our Ongoing Maintenance Plans could be more cost-effective for you.

Are there hidden costs associated with web design services?

No. From the very beginning, we will discuss with you what you require and price accordingly. When you have placed your order for our website design or digital services, we work hard so that the price quoted is strictly adhered to.

But... (There is always one!)

Web design is an evolutionary process and sometimes clients change the scope of a project during production.  If there is a need to alter the price that was quoted, we will let you know before any extra work is started.

Any changes and/or additions that are requested by you that may incur additional costs will first be agreed to.

Are Any Other Services Included In Your Web Design And Development Costs?

We offer a variety of services that can help your business grow. Ongoing SEO, content creation, digital marketing and social media marketing. These come at an extra cost but all our websites are built with SEO in mind.

When Is Payment Required For Your Web Site Design And Development Services?

Our website design process generally starts with a 50% deposit. After design sign off but before making your website live, we collect a further 25%. Once your site is live, we collect the final 25%.

All our other services are paid for up-front. Either as a one-time payment or monthly subscription fees.

We do not have accounts.

What is a Domain Name?

Your domain name is the address of your website. Our domain name is plumpdesign.com.au and also plumpmedia.net.

What is Hosting?

Your website and its content are stored on a computer somewhere in the world. This is where it's hosted. It's where your website lives.

Where should I host my website?

Choosing a host for your website is an important decision. It needs to be fast, able to handle your traffic, and have excellent uptime so that you don't lose customers!

Not all hosts are equal! Talk to us before you choose a host for your website.
